What Home Means to Me

Home to me is not just a single house, or the few neighbors in my community, home to me is bigger. It’s your town, your city, your county, your province, your country. Home is a place where you feel like you fit in, where you're loved, appreciated, and valued. To me home is a place where my family is, my mom, my dad, and my sisters. It’s also a community of people that contribute to a huge, special puzzle in my eyes. A puzzle that is made with many unique, beautiful pieces. My puzzle piece is filled with family memories surrounding my home. When I walk into my home I feel great power and love. The sweet aroma’s of baking, or delicious cuisine always greets me after a long day at school. My home is also a place where my family laughs, cries, hugs, and plays together. I think Habitat for Home is a great organization because it gives families a chance to experience the feeling of home.
