The Meaning of Home

If home was a touch it would be soft and cozy, it would be like the sensation of stretching or getting something heavy off your back. If home was a smell it would be the sweet aroma of sizzling bacon and the calming smell of pancakes. If home was a taste it would be as sweet as honey, crispy as bacon, juicy as ham, and warm like the love in a home. If home was a sound it would be laughter, friendly competitions, the words “i love you,” a nice movie playing for family movie night, and soft, sweet, gentle music playing in the background. If home was a sight it would be all your relatives talking and chatting about how it's going, and children playing a game downstairs having fun, building pillow forts, making memories, and pure bliss. At the end of the day home is not a place you just live in, it's where you grow and learn. It’s not a place, it's your place. It’s not just a place with walls and a ceiling, it's where you're embraced in warmth and comfortability, like a warm hug or a relaxing night by the fireplace. At the end of the day home is where you learn, love, grow, and most of all feel comfortable. Home will always be chaotic but it’s a part of you it hurts to let it go and that's why I believe everyone should have a safe and comfy home.
