I Am From

I am from I am from hundreds of fidget toys bursting from my backpack. From Pop Its, to Wacky Tracks, and towers of Lego. I am from tuffs of animal hair and puppy breath. I am from the gigantic pine tree in the front yard, the beautiful lilac bushes that surround the property, that go to sleep in the winter and wake up the spring. I am from annual family photos and blended family fun. From trips to Grace Lake and equal part jovial and strong-willed women. I am from "Stop the attitude!" and "Havana oh nana aye! " I am from endless renovations that last years. I am from snowbanks to the skies and diverse ethnicities all around the world. From, "Eggs for breakfast? Yes please! " From when once my brother left the non-screen window on the third floor open and then my sneaky little cat Molly found her way on to the roof of our three-story house! That tuxedo ball of fluff! I am from Brake Manor and the biggest house in the neighbourhood. From “Hi grandma I'm back" for the 500th time! I am from anxiety and insecurities, but that doesn’t stop me!
