My Home My World

My Home, My World By Ayomikun Brian Luro A home means a lot of things to different people. It is more than just a physical space or structure. It is a place where people love and have feelings for each other. It is where you feel safe, be loved, and accepted and where you can also nurture your dreams and find solace during challenges. My home is an atmosphere that is shaped by people that I love and cherish. For instance, in my home, there is always a sound of joy and laughter coming from the living room, the aroma of my mom’s cooking coming from the kitchen which gives me amazing dishes. The comfort I enjoy on my favorite couch and my beautiful toys makes my home the most comfortable place in the whole world. My home is a place of emotional stability with constant expectations of words of encouragement. It’s a place where I can recharge my emotions, free from judgement or expectations. It is a place where love flows unconditionally, and forgiveness is given freely. Spiritually, my home is a place of worship with a deep connection with God. It’s a place where prayer is always said, where we sing as a group, and where gratitude is always expressed. It’s a place where my faith is built and my hope is rekindled. Importantly, my home is where my heart resides, where I experience the most meaningful connections and personal belonging. Culturally, my home is where respect is learned. In my home, my parents and grandparents teach me the importance of true citizenship values like respect, service to others and community, and the courage to lead myself and others. My home is my world.
