A HOME IS NOT A HOUSE To me home is a place where I am not judged, And everyday when I wake up I know I am loved. A home is not just a four walls and a window, It is a place of comfort, safety and it is mellow. When I walk in after a long day of school, The feeling of being home keeps me cool. When I see my dad he gives me a great big hug, And when I meet my mom she pours me tea in my red mug. When I need help, my sister is there, and on the school mornings she always does my hair, So thank you sister for always being there. A sweet aroma fills the house as my mom makes my favorite dishes, And after dinner I can hear the dishwasher as it swishes. In my bedroom books are stacked and as I read them I drift away, arts and crafts, I do them very well, as I take out my box full of clay. My home to me is very essential and it is filled with love, and potential. Spreading in the house the feeling of comfort and cheer, home is a place where my family, and their love for me, are near.
