What Home Means To Me

Thud! Thud! Thud! I hear footsteps coming from downstairs when I just get out of my bed. I hear my sister Melodie yelling for me to get up. As I get out of my bed I see my weiner dog, Rudder, waiting for me to help him go down the stairs. When I pick him up I feel his black, wavy hair on my hands. When I get downstairs I see Melodie and Jacob opening their gifts under the tree. Snap! I hear Jacob eating the gingerbread houses. Our house is filled with the smell of candy canes. For breakfast I have greasy bacon and fluffy pancakes. I feel so grateful to have food and a home to live in. I thank Habitat for Humanity for helping the people who don’t.
