What is the Meaning of A Home?
A girl named Eli used to have a job and saved up all the money she needed to buy a new house.
She gave the dollar she discovered lying around the home to the person selling it. After a few weeks, Eli had already moved into a freshly bought home and furnished it when she received a call from her boss informing her that she had been fired.
Since she had no more money, she was unable to pay the rent until she found employment. After a while, she nearly lost her house, but she never lost her job again and continued to pay her rent. In her own words,
A house is more than a house.
Having a roof over your head is what a home is.
Preparing or baking food.
Occupying a bed of your own.
And being accompanied.
She reasoned that since loneliness stinks and makes your home sound too quiet, why not acquire a puppy to keep me company and prevent loneliness? She enjoyed spending time with her puppy, but when her dog passed away, she had to dig a tomb for Rosie.
Eli is aware that losing a pet is difficult. She eventually moved past it and was OK.
A house consists of a place to sleep, bake or prepare food, and have a roof over your head. It's important to have company in addition to yourself when you own a home.
