A New Beginning

Weeee Wooo — Weee… Fire.. weee — Wooo…Fire! The fire alarm rang continuously. I immediately dropped my game control and started looking for my parents. I left all my video games and Bean, my cat behind as I ran for my dear life. Afterward, my family had to go through the challenge of finding a new house. The house we found was big but not like our old house. Also, the couches were soft but I preferred our previous ones better. I miss Bean and the memories of him in my old house. Childhood memories would not leave my head. “Why would this happen to us?” I thought. As I went to my new room, I laid on my bed which was so uncomfortable and I struggled to go to sleep. The next morning, I went to the backyard to play soccer, against my dad dribbling the ball up, I shot the ball with all my power and scored. Even though I won I was still mad about what happened to my old house, I guess soccer didn’t give me happiness either. I didn’t even eat the amazing cookies my mom baked. My mom started asking me “Why didn't you eat my cookies, aren’t they your favorite anymore?” She sounded worried. I’m not hungry for cookies, I replied. Then my annoying sister said “I guess there’s more for me”. Ignoring her, I went back outside to play soccer again. I still couldn’t stop thinking about my old house. Either way, this house was starting to feel like home now. Like my mom said “A home is where love and family meet”. After all this, I don’t think I’ll find a cat like Bean again, but I’m grateful for my home and family.
