A lesson from home

“Mom mom, mom” my siblings barked from around the car “give mom a break guys.” “No “yes.“ “Guys, stop, I need a break" Rylee and his siblings did not know what Christmas was about. It was always crazy on Christmas Eve grocery shopping but this time it was way worse. As soon as we got in the kids were all surrounding the cookies and the cake. They were everywhere. When they finally got to the cashier and out the door I sighed in relief but then someone was near our car walking, she looked like her clothes were from a stinky old garbage. Mom and Dad went to go talk to her but I don't know what they were talking about. Once Mom and Dad were done I wanted to go talk to her too. She said she was homeless. I believed it. I wanted to go talk to Mom next and I asked Mom if she could come to our house. Mom said yes. My face was pink with a big smile on it. She was so happy. But we had to find her a gift so she wouldn't feel left out but that was really fun too. My cousins were annoyed but they got over it. My little brother Liam was so scared because he thought she didn't look like us so I went to go talk to him ”hey Liam what’s up?“ “That woman over there I don't know, I'm just not used to her.” "Well, have you at least said hi?” “no” “Well go say hi” “Ok, hello I have a present for you.” “oh thank you but you have already given me the best gift by sharing your family and your home.” I guess a home and ` a family is a pretty good great gift
