Home Can Be

If you look at your house, You may think it's just four walls and a roof. But home can have a hundred walls. All coloured in red and blue. If you look at the front yard of your house, It might be weeds and dead grass, But a home's yard can have ferris wheels And a hand for you to grasp. If you look at your furniture in your house, It may be fresh and new. But at home you can sit there together, And evaporate the blue. A house can smell stale and moldy, While bearing a bad scent. But a home can smell like cinnamon rolls, That deserves a hundred compliments. A house’s attic may be murky, And hold ancient debris. But at home it is funhouse To make stellar memories. Your house may feel still, With nothing fun to see. But home can feel like jello, And love from you and me. A home is not just wood and nails, Or a place to keep you warm. But home is a big piece of joy, Where love may not be torn. Home is a place where I feel safe, And there's nothing to deny, That home makes me feel happier, than a star in the bright night sky.
