Peaceful Winnipeg

I like living in Winnipeg, because most of my family and friends are here. My family makes me feel special and wanted. They are people I can rely on, most of the time. When I wake up, I can hear my mom calling me for a delicious meal. When my family eats all together it makes me feel safe. Winnipeg might be called a boring place. But it’s a place where I make a bunch of memories with friends and loved ones. Some families sit in the cold winter air and sleep on uncomfortable, rocky sidewalks. Good thing Habitat for Humanity cares for families that don’t have homes. Habitat for Humanity is a place where they build houses for people that can’t afford it. Once they have a home they can build memories all day long. Now that many families have homes, I believe Habitat for Humanity can make Winnipeg a better and safer community. A home is not just a house where you live, it’s a place where you grow up with the people you love!
