A TRUE Home
There once was a happy home,
Of which laughter was often shown,
Its colour may have been bland
But its memory was grand,
This very happy home.
A house is a cheery place,
Of which memories can't be erased,
During any celebration
You’ll feel like you’re on vacation,
With a smile on your face.
It can be a square or dome,
In Canada or Rome,
Where no one is mean
You will feel seen,
In a true home.
Even with hearts of pure gold,
You might not do what you’re told,
And mistakes will be made, that's okay
Because they happen every day,
But in response to them, do not scold!
No matter where you go
You continue to grow,
And so do your memories too,
So go on to cherish every moment ( yeah you!)
No matter where you go.
Home is about feeling silly
Like drawing pictures on the snow when it's chilly,
Home is full of endless fun
Until the day is completely done,
And eating yummy chili.
Those in a home are closely sewn,
No matter how old they’ve grown,
Youngest, the middle, or the eldest,
Home is a place to rest
Where you feel known.
At home you may feel dirty, but your heart will feel clean,
Where when you do something weird it is not a scene,
Where you make the rules,
(But you have do listen to other ones at school)
And everything in between
A home can be large or small
In summer, winter or fall,
all homes have fun all day,
If you know how to walk,
Or only crawl.
Thank you Habitat for humanity for helping those in need,
As a tree of of making homes you give many seeds,
You give so much, so kind and so true,
it is a fantastic virtue,
That is helping those in need!
