Home

Home isn’t always just a place. Home can mean many things. It could mean babies laughing while someone is playing peek a boo. Or trying to get their first word to be “mama”. It could also be babies crying like crazy because ”Dada” shaved his beard. Maybe it is babies smelling stinky after making an oopsie in their diaper. Sometimes it is mom telling you to take a shower after playing a bunch of sports, because apparently you smell like “rotten onions”. It could be your grandma forcing you to eat more after having thirteen of her cookies. Then, it could be grandpa teaching you how to beat up your bullies. Sure, a house can have great furniture and tons of electronics, but a home is being surrounded by people you love. People you can trust with your life. In a home you can share your feelings without being judged, but in a house, you may not be able to do that. Homes have people that care about you, but they may show that to you in weird ways. Like when your mom is telling you to look both ways before you cross the street every single day till it gets annoying. Or your sassy sister telling you, in a very mean way, that you have food around your mouth before you go out somewhere. Homes are also places where you can have the dumbest fights between you and your siblings, or maybe it could even be where you have your dad showing you his awful dancing skills. Sometimes home is more than just a place, it is also the people you love.
