Home is Where...

Home is where... The kitchen is where meals are made, and the aroma of fresh cookies fills the air. Home is where I am, and I live without a care or worry and love, no matter which path I choose to go down. The living room is where movies are watched and the cozy feeling of the warm blanket covering you from head to toe. Home is where I can curl up on my warm, fluffy couch with my dogs at my feet and cats at my shoulders. The dining room is where delightful meals are tasted and food is not wasted, entertaining games are played like Jenga, Sorry, or a simple game of cards. Home is where I am, and we laugh, chat, and exchange silly comments like, "Remember when you stopped at every dinosaur sculpture in Calgary?" or "Me and Jett would get upset." The bedroom is where snuggles are common and laundry is folded. Home is where I am, and no matter how warm it is or how cold it is, I feel that I can be the best version of me with no cost or price. You don't need fancy wallpaper, a garage, or your own bedroom, mural, or fancy chandeliers. Home is not what happens when you look at it, but it's what happens inside the walls. And my home is more than a house.
