What Home is to Me

Home is a collection of memories wrapped in a cozy blanket. It’s where food is always welcomed, and I feel protected. Home is the place where I can make the best coffee. It’s where all my favourite belongings are found. Home is where I feel sheltered, secure, and free. It’s a space for trying out creative crafts and hosting entertainment events. Home is where the family gathers, eagerly waiting for cookies to come out of the oven. It’s the place where your heart truly resides. Home is where we grow and learn new skills together. Home is filled with the delightful smell of baked goods coming out of the oven, a fragrance that brings smiles and sparks memories. It tastes like homemade breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Like warm cookies with melted marshmallows and chocolate, where each bite is infused with love and time spent together. Home feels like a relaxing spot where I can grab my yarn and crochet a blanket, each loop a testament to hours spent in peaceful concentration, a therapeutic endeavor that allows creativity to flow. So many memories to unwrap: flour dusting the counter tops, baking cookies, bread, and cakes, and the warmth of love filling the space shared with family and friends.
