What Home Means to Me
To me, home is where I spend lots and lots of my time and make so many memories. Home is not a house, a house is a building where someone lives. Home is where we feel familiar with family doing things together being yourself.
Home is full of so many memories that I can’t even remember half of them! I’m ripping apart the wrapping paper feeling inpatient ‘’It’s a lego set I yell! ‘’Smile for the camera’’! That will be looked at in the future. Thinking of memories makes me feel happy.
Home is hanging out, playing, talking, and having fun. My friends are coming
I go look out the window. I feel like I'm waiting for an alarm to go off! When they arrive I feel delighted that they arrived. Home is filled with options of what to do like lego, video games, reading, going outside and building forts. I grab my controller and select Mario Kart 8. I’m eager to start 3, 2, 1, go!
Home is being with family, the people who care for you. It’s 5:00 PM My mom is making supper. I’m watching TV. Come and eat, she says. My dad puts music on in the background. Family members take care of each other. When I was two I got lost at the Winnipeg airport. My mom was super frightened. I was only twenty feet away though. Being with family feels safe.
Home is where I feel comfortable/familiar like the City of Winnipeg. I’m driving through the city: ‘’I've been there’’ I say to myself. When walking around my neighborhood I feel familiar. On a trip there are many things you have never seen before. My city has my house, my school/church and many places that are important to me.
Home isn't just a building it’s doing fun things, family, your city/town and memories. Home is where I feel safe. In conclusion, this is what home is to me.
