Home to Me

Home to me is not just a house on a hill. Home to me is not just four walls and a roof with a door. Home to me is where I grew up with my sister and my parents alongside me cheering me on through the good times and bad. Home to me is a kitchen with cupboards full of delicious foods, an oven with yummy loaves of bread baking inside. Home to me is my bedroom with a cozy bed and a duvet cover placed over my fluffy pillows. Home to me is a backyard with my dog frolicking in the mowed grass, next to my dad making a fire in the fire pit where we roast marshmallows at night. Home to me is a place where you will never be judged and can be yourself always. Home to me isn't a house full of fancy furniture, but the love and happiness from my family is what fills the house and that is what makes it a home inside and out. That is home to me.
