A Home Is Not A House
A house can have walls,
With beams that stand tall.
A place with windows that open wide,
Wind washing over you like a tide.
But a home is where your memories linger,
It can be anywhere; you don’t need to lift a finger.
Home is a place to rest,
To get everything off your chest.
A house has rooms,
But no flowers that bloom,
A space to sleep,
But where no memories creep.
A home has things that are forever kept,
And things you will never forget.
Homes are special in our hearts,
A place where we will never be apart.
A house may be someone’s home,
But to me, mine is worth more than chrome.
Houses are places, but not ones we keep in our hearts.
A home is inseparable, like ‘till death do us part.
In a house, you have a dormer,
And in your home, you see memories in every corner.
Wherever you go, your home will stay with you.
It will always be there, no matter what you do.
A house will always just be a place,
Not a dream that you can chase.
A house is where you stay alive,
But not a place where you can strive.
A home is not a house.
