Meaning of home

Home means that love surrounding me. My house Is not just a home to me but is also a place of love. Whenever I come home, I always find my mom in the kitchen making a warm, delicious plate of food. Home is where I can be myself. My home will stay with me forever. I love spending time with my sister, April, and my mom and dad. I love it when we play games together at home. Everywhere I go, it feels like a new adventure is ahead of me. Every time I go somewhere, I always feel comfortable with my friends and family. At night when I’m scared, I listen to my mom and dad snoring a song that always sings me back to sleep. When I’m scared, I breathe in the familiar smells and relax. My home just looks like it is made out of walls and bricks, but all it is made of is warmth and love coming off my friends and family when they come. When I’m alone, I feel cold and sad, but when I have my home and family to comfort me, I feel like the universe is giving me a gift. A home is a place where I share love. Manitoba is a great place to have a house. Home means coming back home to see my loved ones. When I stand outside, looking at my house, it looks dull, but from the inside, it looks like where someone would want to live. In the summer, I love waking up in the warm, beautiful home and listening to the birds and getting ready for a brand-new day. This is what home means to me. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for reading my story.
