Who is Your Roof?

You can feel safe in a house. With all its walls and a roof over your head, you are safe from the rain or snow from falling onto you. But in that house you are alone. Will the roof and walls stop loneliness falling onto you? You will feel empty. You will long for someone or something to make you feel at home. Are the walls stopping you from finding your true home? And so when you go to school and see your friends, you realize that you feel different. That loneliness that fell onto you is gone. It's lifted off of you like it was never there. And it's because of your friends. You can be anywhere with them. Even with the rain or snow falling onto you, you feel great. Because you have a roof already. Though it doesn't protect you from rain and snow, it protects you from loneliness and the longing to be loved.
