Meaning of Home
A house is not a home without family and friends. A home is a place filled with love and care with joyful sounds of laughter everywhere! A house is just a box with walls and windows that surround the loving family memories.
Home is where the family starts, I’ve lived here all eleven years of my life. I'm the fifth generation, my great-great grandpa homestead our farm over one hundred years ago.
Which I am so grateful for.
Being away from the loud city makes me feel calm and peaceful. Having my home in the country is such a blessing! I love going to the creek with my family and friends especially on Thanksgiving with my cousins! We cross the water and climb the creek banks, skip rocks and look for tadpoles!
Playing games with my mom, dad and my brother Isaac is so much fun! We like playing chess and hide-and-seek. My brother and I learnt to count to ten playing this game at a very young age. Another family tradition is to play Monopoly around the table. We always go for side-by-side rides down the gravel roads as a family in the summer, spring and fall and in the winter we love to skidoo out in our field. My brother and I like to play on the trampoline in the summer and build snow forts in the winter. Another family winter activity is snowboarding and skating at our lake at Pigeon lake.
Something so special about my home is that my grandma lives on my property! I have so many memories over there, like playing dominos at family gatherings to just sitting in the living room with her. I love that she is always easy to talk to and so loving, she also always has something to do over there like bead work and painting. I always go over there when things get busy (or just whenever)!
Home is where I live and love and spend most of my time.
There are endless reasons that I love my home and so many more memories to make!
