The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home for me, makes me think of all the fond reminders of great and bad times I have experienced. Since I have moved to a country I never even set foot on, I thought about losing my precious personal items, family, culture and even the memories which I greatly treasure. My family had to process immigration for 6-9 long months. The day we were appointed to move, I thought of many negative things like racism and bullying when in reality, I experienced no negativity but created something bigger than that. I have new friends and I might get the opportunity to meet family across North America which I dream to do. Although I felt homesick time after time, I was able to adapt and it has been about one year since I have moved here. I am blessed as my family can provide all the necessities as we have done before. Although it took away some things, we still are thriving gleefully! This nation is full of wonders and opportunities for those immigrating, like me. To finish this off, a home is a place where all most of my life is stored with all my memories.
