Home vs. House

When I think of home I smell my dads colone, and feels safe and joyful. When I see home I see My dog barking and cars going by. Home sounds like people laughing and cars engines on. Home taste like pizza getting cooked. When I think of home I see snow and trees. When I think of home I hear robins chirping. Home looks like rabbit digging up vegetables from my garden. I see snow falling from the sky. My dog smells like fresh rain when he comes back from the park. Home is not your house, it’s your community. Home is where I belong and people care about me. Home Is where you feel loved and connected. Home Is where you are flipping through memories of your traditions and childhood. Home is where you grew up with your family. Home is where your mom is waking you up at 6:00 in the morning. I think of icy- cold winters and warm summers. I hear fire crackling and I taste warm hot chocolate. I go to Tofino every summer. My family owns a house near the beach. When we go to the beach I see my dog splashing in the water. Home feels like wet cold sand under your toes and a cool breeze in your hair. But most likely home is where your heart is.
