A Home, Not a House

The entry is full of love and joy. Where I welcome my family and friends and the love spreads. But a house is what it all has on the entry is coats, shoes, jackets, and a doormat. And when somebody walks in you just say hi. But a home is where you welcome them, there is a lot of love and sharing. The living room is where we sit, laugh and chat with family friends. With smiles on our faces, with joy and love in the air. But a house is where you sit on a couch and stare at the blank TV with no laughing or joy. The kitchen is where we bake all the family recipes. We joke around, laughing with joy in the air. Every time we come back, we get older and older as the recipes get better and better. A house is where every time you come home, your recipes don’t get better, they stay the same. The dining table is where we sit, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, and share about our days. Have delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At breakfast we share our dreams. While, eating pancakes, strawberries, blueberries, and lots more. A house is where breakfast, lunch and dinner are the same thing every time. My bedroom is where I sleep, take breaks and dream. Do homework, take naps and chill. Get ready to do my hair. Watch shows and movies. But a house is when you walk in your room and there’s not much in there. Except a bed. My backyard is where I play and hang out with friends. My backyard is where I play fetch with my dog. Jump on my trampoline and go on my zip line. But a house is when you go outside once a month, but you end up just sitting there when you go outside. My community La Salle is very loving, and I would never want to live somewhere else.
