The Meaning of Home

Hello, my name is Sawyer, and today I’m going to be talking about the meaning of home. To me home is about family, safety, being cozy, comfortable, and being heard. Being at home with your family and spending quality time with the ones you love is what home means to me. I love playing board games with my family, going to my cabin and being snuggled up in a blanket playing my family’s favorite board game (Ticket to Ride) is what home means to me. Home is a place where you should be free to say how you’re feeling without being judged. To be able to talk about how your feelings in a safe place is a privilege, and I know that some people don’t have a privilege like that, and they should because everyone deserves to be loved and not just seen, they should be heard. There are over 150 million people that don’t have a roof over their head and that’s not right. Home is a place where nobody is judged. Home is a place where you need to feel safe, protected, and like your wrapped in a blanket of safety. Safety is everything when speaking of home. Home is a place where your safe from nightmares, fears, robberies, murders, and even emotions. Home is a place where you are protected from anything that could go wrong. Home is not just a place with four walls and a roof, it’s a place where you spend time with your loved ones, able to talk about how you’re feeling without being judged, and a place where you are protected and safe from anything that could go wrong. Being with your family and spending quality time with the ones you love is home to me. The End
