What makes my home, my home
Some may say a home is a house, a place with wooden blank doors, big sensitive glass windows, a bug backyard with bright green grass with fresh dew, but for me home is more than just a house. It is a place where memories are made and where they can be made. I come from a small town in West Africa. All my family, all my friends, my whole life was there, but little did I know a few years after being born I would leave and NEVER return. Even though I left my country years ago, I still feel the warmth eating cultural meals and participating in traditional activities. My family of five lives in a middle-sized home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have recently found that home is not about what you have, but who you have. My family consists of five people my mom, my dad, my brother Tamilore, my sister Tumnise, and me Joanna! Instead of focusing on your clothes, your money, and other material thing you should be focusing on your family, making memories, and making love. My family is very Important to me! There is no shame with focusing on money, just don’t forget your family. Your family gives you hope, gratitude, and joy! That is what makes my home, home.
