A House or a Home; What is the Answer

A house is just a place that gives you shelter, but a home gives you love courage, respect, wisdom and the truth. A house has walls, a roof, a kitchen a living room, bedrooms, and furniture. A house gives you shelter but a home gives you hope. It gives you comfort and safety, it gives you a place to be yourself where you don’t have to be someone you’re not. You can be anywhere and have a home. You could be at your local super store and have a home, you could be at school and have a home, wherever you go you will be loved, there are so many places you can be and have a home. I have lived in three homes, and I carry all of them in my heart. Emily Dickinson once said, “home is where your heart is”. For eleven years I have lived in three houses, but one home… how is that possible? Well, everyone has only one home which is in your heart. You could have a billion houses but one home. Things that I love about my home: I love that when I get home from school, and I get into my Father’s embrace, and I feel warmth and comfort coming from him. And then an amazing smell hits me, and I felt like a bird being set free and flying over the whole city and then I jump into bed, and I feel comfort as I sink into bed. So, if I had to make a choice of a house or a home, I will pick a home every time.
