What is home?
What is home? Home is different for everyone, some people think it is about family or memories with family and friends, but some people have no home at all.
Homelessness happens all around the world. More than 150 million people were homeless in 2005. Homelessness is when a person has no place to live, and it is more common than you might think. Canada is changing its approach to Housing First, where the government moves homeless people quickly into permanent housing and supports clients well to ensure they have a bright future.
But what is a bright future without a past to look back on? That is why my favourite part of home is the memories you make and the feeling of security at home. The feeling of home is different for everyone, it can be calm or chaotic for me it's a bit of both mainly because of my brother, he can be nice or annoying but most of the time he's chill. Many of your greatest accomplishments probably happened at home, such as your first words, your first steps, etc. Many of your greatest achievements probably happened at home, such as your first words, your first steps, etc. And there is no better feeling than coming home after a long day at school or work and just relaxing however you like, whether it is sleeping, playing or reading, the atmosphere can make you feel like a different person to the one you were an hour ago.
Now for my third and final point and that is thankfulness you should be thankful for having a home to live in a family to guide you through this world and a bed to sleep in they made a whole holiday about thankfulness called Thanksgiving. Housing in Canada is getting harder and harder to afford because house prices are going up but wages are staying the same so you should be thankful for having a place to live but most people just take it for granted. Another part of home is your family, so you should be grateful that you have a family because they have taken care of you, and you have taken care of them.
In conclusion, we have talked about homelessness, the feeling of security and why you should be thankful for your home. Goodbye :)
