My Home is Not a House

Knock on our door and we’ll open it warmly, hearts full of joy, while you walk through the entry. First is the living room that warms you with ecstasy. You’ll see us laughing with every moment being a pleasure watching thrills that send shivers down your spine. Then it’s the kitchen that you’ll find yourself in, watching us cook messes and memories forever. The kitchen is a place so full of warmth you’ll feel so loved and appreciated. As we pull you outside in the warmness of the sun, you’ll find yourself up on the deck with a cozy couch and a fireplace too. We’ll take you to what once was a playground; our backyard that’s right by the deck What once was a childhood memory now is an empty place that’s unrecognizable. Now it’s the spare bedroom that we’re standing in, walk to the closet and you’ll see a bunch of baby clothes I wish I could fit, the smell is amazing, like happiness and childhood, the touch can’t be described, feels like lost memories but brings such joy. I envy my past, Now it’s my room full of colours, candles, and posters reminding me to always be kind. They say stuff like “choose kindness” of “good vibes only." My bed has compartments flooded with bibles, I'll take you to my closet with all my clothes and a cozy space, too where I read books and eat. Now it’s my parent’s room that I don’t spend much time in, in their room is a bed, and a large closet I’ll take you downstairs where my brothers room lays, sometimes he blasts load music, sometimes we play just dance, or super smash bros it’s all fun and games till one of us rages, break out in fight but it ends.
