What Home Means To Me.
Home means much more than nice walls, pretty paintings, bookshelves, fancy rugs and bought sweets. Home is a messy kitchen, baked goods, fairy tale stories, home grown crops and love. A home isn't for fancy people, elegant and formal, it is not a place you need to be “perfect”. Home is family suppers, a place to be silly, and play games and watch movies together. A place to be yourself.
My home is a home where you get greeted with purrs and barks! Our house is small and different, but we all fit in. My house is very chaotic at times, but there are five people, two cats and a dog and we’re all happy. If you ever come to my house, let me warn you, my pets will want to snuggle with you and even if you don’t want them to, too bad.
My home is more than my Mom, Dad and sisters, it’s also where my Papa and my Nanny visit every year. My Uncle Brady and his kids also visit. Home also has a roof over your head to keep you safe and warm. Home is also having fresh food when you're hungry, to give you energy to do what you love. Every night when I lay down to sleep, I feel I am the luckiest girl alive.
Be thankful for what you have, a lot of people have nothing. Many take things for granted. My family and friends are the world to me because I know God sent them my way for a reason. Everyone deserves to have a home no matter what has happened to them. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for preventing homelessness every year for people who can’t afford a home, you give them a boost to get started, so thank you!
