Habitat for Humanity: Writing about Home

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that helps people that either don't have a good or safe environment to live in. They build houses for families who need it. The houses are built by volunteers. The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to make sure that most people have a decent home to live in, no matter how much money that they have. The families pay the house over time but in small amounts of money so it’s easy to handle the amounts. It’s a big team effort where people come together and make a safe space for families all around Canada. Home is a place where you can make memories with the people that you love and you can never forget the special things that happened in that home even the small things that happened will be remembered by you and even if you move every time you pass the place you used to call home the memories will come back and the memories of that place will never leave you, like when you got a new dog and you still have him/her or if a friend moved really far away and you might not see them, and your last memory with them was in your home and will always stay in that place. In Redcliff there are a lot of places to go like the coulees and all the bike trails and the bike park, the schools are so easy to walk to, our little town is on the side of the Saskatchewan river what give us and perfect place to enjoy with our families we can do fishing, canoeing, floating, camping, etc. The community here is welcoming and united, in Redcliff we know everyone and everyone knows us, it is a safe place to call home, you can walk anytime day or night and you won’t be scared. Since my family and I moved here,,, one and half years ago, we experienced the real meaning of belonging, as myself I have had gain so many friends and I always feel so welcomed in their houses, we play a lot, and even some of my friend parents call me son, which means a lot for me, last year I celebrate my birthday and all of my friends came and enjoy it with me, we have had sleepovers and so many special dates that we expend together, it feels like I’ve always living in Redcliff. Thank you Redcliff. Thank you teachers, and specially thank you friends for letting me experience the real meaning of: belonging, community, familiarity, freedom, tranquility and for giving lots of memories for my life.
