My Home with God By Jeremy “As for me and my household we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24: 15 A home is a place to feel safe, loved and cozy. A home is also a place to help others feel safe and loved. My family is in a house of God because we treat all with love and kindness. We serve and help each other and this shows our love for God. My mom serves us with delicious meals, my dad works hard all day, my sister and I help around the house and we are always willing to let someone in if they need a place to stay. I love it when my mom makes dinner. It’s usually the best, especially when she makes her chicken fried rice. The best thing is,there’s always enough for our whole family. Even when she’s not around, she still puts food on the table or she will order food so we won't starve! Mom also keeps the house tidy and organized so that it looks nice and we know where our things are. This makes me feel happy and loved that she helps take care of us. My mom serves God by taking care of us and our house. I also love it when my dad is around. He can always cheer you up by telling jokes even if you're really sad. He can cheer you up like no one can! My dad always wants to do something with you like play a board game or video game. Whenever something is broken, my dad is there to fix it. My dad also always drives my sister and I to soccer and volleyball practices even if he doesn't feel like it. My dad serves God by working hard and making us laugh. My sister and I serve our family by feeding the dogs and taking them outside. We give them lots of love by giving them scratches and lots of treats! We also try to clean up after ourselves and keep our rooms tidy. We serve God by helping out my mom and dad. Our family likes to welcome other friends and families. We like picking people up from the airport and giving them a place to stay. We like to invite friends to have sleepovers and hangouts. We like playing board games and serving lots of good food and snacks to our company. Our family serves God by loving and caring for others. In the Bible, God tells us that two most important commandments are to love God and to love others. In our home, this is how we want to live. We want to serve in our actions and words. This is how we make our home safe and cozy.
