My home is a treasure box
Home is a feeling - a strong feeling just like your mom and dad’s love for you. So, cuddle up close with your families and loved ones and listen as I talk about what home means to me. Home is a great place to relax, lay down, and play.
My room: my room is a peaceful place where I sleep in my warm cozy bed where I feel safe. In my room I also play with my Lego sets that I have made over the years. Playing Lego makes me feel calm and peaceful. In my room I also read in the dark with my glowing comfortable blow-up chair and my reading light. It opens my imagination, and I feel at home to dream.
The kitchen: when I come home to the smell of mac and cheese and then I know my Vavo is there, and I feel safe. She helps take care of us. My Oma’s baking is supreme, especially her cake that she makes for special occasions or just because. For breakfast the sizzling of bacon frying on the pan always catches my attention. My favourite foods make me feel at home.
Outside in my front and back yard: In the front yard I drive my remote-control monster truck around the driveway and shoot hoops with my basketball that I got as a gift from my Vavo. I also play hide and seek, ball hockey, and football with my next-door neighbours. In the back yard in the summertime, I swim in my pool, and we have pool parties where my dad makes the best ribs on the barbeque.
I wish for everyone to have a place that they can call home.
