The importance of Home

The importance of Home To me, home is more than the plain structure of a house, it is a place where everybody feels welcome, and a place where you know that you have lots of people who love and care for you. Every day, when I get back home, my home seems to be saying “ welcome home! ”, and it is a place where I feel safe, knowing that my whole neighbourhood is there for me, as I am to them. My home is part of an entire community, but to be a community, everyone has to work together to be a safe one. When I'm home, I feel relaxed, as if I'm reading a book by the fireplace, with a warm drink in my hand. When I think of home, I taste warm soup, dancing around in its bowl, and music playing on the radio. When I’m thinking about my home, I feel very grateful, but also a little bit sad, knowing that there are a lot of people who don't even have a home. My home has several different looks, but one of them is a stack of puzzle boxes, not yet solved. Home smells like my mom, my sister, my grandmother, and I baking cookies in the kitchen. Habitat for Humanity helps people without a good home, and they do it all over the world, not just in Canada!
