The Meaning of Home To Me

What is the meaning of home to you? The meaning of home to me is not the wall or the roof, it's the people under the roof with me. My sister, my dad and my mom. My sister makes me feel safe. I’m not with my dad that much but I still love him. Me and my sister are with my mom most of the time and sometimes I get mad at my mom but I love her. I feel safe at home. One of the meanings of home to me is my sister. She used to give me piggyback rides when we got back from school. We don’t go to the same school now that she is 16, but she still gives me piggyback rides. It makes me feel loved and safe. When I go to my dads home. (I have two homes) I can’t sleep and my dad will give me hot milk. It helps me fall asleep. The smell of hot milk reminds me of my dad. It makes me feel loved and happy. When I see my mom cooking in the kitchen I feel cared for. She would cook chicken soup. It’s my favourite. It smells delicious and it tastes even better! I love it when my mom cooks! The meaning of home to me is my family and the people I love, not the roof on the floor, not my neighbor that lives next door. My friends and family are what makes my house a home. The smell of chicken soup and the hot milk my dad got me. A piggyback ride from my sister and touching the roof. So the meaning of home to me is my friends and family.
