Home is a Place Where I Feel Safe

What does home mean to you? Home to me is my dog Lily, she is a big part of my family. Home to me is when every time I see my brother my heart grows. It's also when I'm eating with my family and I feel included and grateful. Home makes me feel loved and home is the best place to be. When I am home I feel calm. When I get home from a long day at school I love to sit on the couch and cuddle with my dog Lily. Lily is home to me. When I am next to Lily I feel connected to her. Home is the best place to be. When I get home from school, I get really excited to see my baby brother. After school I take my amazing baby brother to the living room and play with him on the couch. When my brother smiles at me I can feel my heart get bigger. My brother makes me feel loved and I can just tell I'm his favourite person. When my brother is happy I feel happy too. I’m his favourite person and that's the absolute best feeling ever. I feel connected to my brother like no other person. My brother is home to me. When I'm eating with my family I feel so grateful that I have such a loving family. I realize that some people don't have food on the table and people who love you. When my mom or dad cooks I always say thank you. When I'm eating with everyone I feel happy and included. My family is home to me. Home is a place where I feel safe. Home to me is my loving family. Home to me is feeling safe with my brother. Home to me is food on the table. That is home to me.
