Home
What makes a home different from a house is that a house is just four waIIs for basic essentials of everyday life. A home, however, is the only thing that actually belongs to us, and only us. Homes hold birthdays, family reunions, and sometimes just moments of thinking to myself. In our home, we find comfort and safety (usually, if you don’t have an annoying sibling). You also find peace, connection, and just feeling understood by others, or just yourself. Home is the only place where you can relax a little and just be.
I love my home because when my mom and dad cook, my favorite scents of our traditional food fill the air (sometimes, my mom cooks stinky fish and that smells disgusting). It gives me the feeling of being in a whole new world where I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. I like to be in my home because I can finally get privacy and do my hobbies away from the world outside my house.
But what really makes my home my home is that I am surrounded by my favorite people. My mom, my dad, and my brother. Sometimes, my extended family comes over. When that happens, I get really happy to see my cousins and we all play together.
So, in conclusion, a home is the only place that really belongs to you. You find emotion and memories. Maybe you are surrounded by all your favorite people, maybe not. You may enjoy being alone, and home is the place where you find that.
