Home: My Small Infinite World

Home has a deep meaning for me. Each letter in the word HOME reminds me of something special in my life. H stands for Happiness, because home is the place where my smile shines most. O stands for Open arms, because my family welcomes me with love and care. M stands for Moments, because it’s where my happiest moments are made and stay in my heart forever. E stands for Encouragement, because it’s where my family supports me and helps me grow. I imagine life as a huge video game, and my home is a powerful shield that protects me from the challenges I face. It is also like a mirror that reflects my personality and behaviour, showing who I am and how I’ve grown. When I lie in bed, I read my book and swim in my imagination. My bed feels like a ship sailing through magical, endless space. I love the sun rays sneaking through the windows every morning, filling my room with warmth and hope. Sometimes, I think about homeless children with no shelter, no food on their tables, and sleeping on the streets or in tents. The icy air bites into their weak bodies. This makes me more grateful for my home. I’ve travelled and stayed in hotels, but I’ve never found a place as cozy as my home, the place I always want to return to. It’s my small world. From here, I can explore, imagine, and even invent ideas that can shape the future- or who knows, maybe change the world one day! To me, home is more than where I live. It’s any place that offers safety, support, and comfort. I felt this in my home country and again in my new home, Canada. Finally, home where my dreams take their first steps.
