What is the meaning of home?

A home can be a structure to most people, but to me it is a place where you are loved and cared for. In a home, there can be people awaiting your arrival or hoping you come back. A house is a place where you rest and play. A home has a special place in your heart because everybody grew up in a home. Home is where you belong and where everybody’s childhood started. Home is where everything happens. From when you started school to when you graduated, there has always been a home for you to come back to. Even when you leave, there will be a home waiting for you. If you leave home and get a new house, it just won’t feel the same, like a nostalgic feeling. Your home is where you grew up and where you were fed, given clothing, and water. Home is like a barrier that keeps you away from sadness and only lets in kindness. Home isn’t just about the people but it is also about the memories you’ve had. Those pictures you have on your wall, they are so you can remember times like how fun it was to go on a trip or when you went to a good restaurant. If you ever get mad, you can try to remember happy times. For me, I have pictures on my wall to remember when I was younger and I have a picture of my family as well. Again, home is more than just a structure, it is a place where you store memories and have fun. Thank you to Habitat For Humanity for trying to get homes for people in need of one. To me, home means happiness.
