A Place Called Home

The first thing I think of when I think of a home are the people who are in it, families. The families in our lives are part of our homes and without them, it would not feel like a real home. Each person in a family has a part to play. My Mom helps me in every way that she can and provides for our family. My Brother and little sister make up the greatest games and adventures to play. My older sister and I can be creative together because we both love to write. Families make great additions to our lives, and I think a home is only a home if your family is there with you. The next thing I would think of is the building itself. My family has a fairly big house and yard, and we are very blessed to have a good, sturdy home. I wish everyone could have a good sturdy home with good families and friends, but for some people that is not the case, and I feel bad for homeless people and children around the world. That is why I am thankful that the money from this contest is going to help more people to get a home. Homes are an especially important part of our lives, and I think that everyone should be able to have a home and those of us that do should all be thankful for our homes. Homes are not just a place where you sleep, it is where your family is. It's a place where you are loved and safe, where you can just be you, and a place where you feel happy. Think of these things next time you're not happy with your home. That is what home means to me.
