What Home Means to Me

I think that home is where your family is. I love my family so much. Because, if you both feel safe and your family is there, then it might not be home for some people, but it is for me. Home is when you feel safe. It could be your friend’s house. I have friends that can help me be my best and when I’m hurt then take care of me of hold my hand. That’s home. Some people think home has to be somewhere you live, but if you explain it to them if might help them to know what it means. Home can even be school. You might feel you can not have a home because you might not have a family or because you might feel like you don’t fit in with them. So, school could be your family and your home. Listening to music could also be home. Reading could make you feel at home. But even if you have a roof over your head, doing basic things there can make it feel like home. Such as cleaning the kitchen or doing laundry. It’s all part of being home. I bet if I didn’t have a family, I’d be sad. If I didn’t have friends, I’d be sad. But I have both as well as a mom and a dad, so I can’t feel sad. I have so many things that make me feel at home.
