What Home Means to Me
Home can mean a variety of things, but to me home means somewhere you can express yourself with no one judging your every move. Also, being able to express your feelings knowing the people around you will get how you feel and if you are upset, they won’t question it – they will try to make you feel better. When you hate yourself for something in the past, the people around you won’t.
Home also means a warm place where you can sleep peacefully in a warm bed. Home is somewhere you can feel safe knowing you can’t be hurt. Having someone you can talk to, without them interrupting you. Knowing you have free will with the people around you. Home is knowing you will have a full plate of food for supper.
Home can be more than a building; it can be the people around you that you love and they love you back. Home can also be a memory that brings you joy. Overall, home means knowing I have people around me to hug, when I feel alone. Home is thus not always a place you live – it’s somewhere that you feel happy.
