What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where people should feel safe, welcomed, loved and feel they can share their thoughts, emotions and ideas. To me, home is a place where I feel I can express myself in any different way. Nobody will stare. Nobody will judge. I can just be me. I think home should be filled with joy, fun, laughter, hugs and kindness. I love my home because everybody is kind to each other. No one will judge each other. We are one big happy family. We care for each other and we have fun together. To me, home is a place where people get together, play games, celebrate and feel happy for each other. I am so lucky to have a roof over my head, food on my plate, a warm bed to sleep in and feel safe every day and night. A lot of people don’t have somewhere to live; some people have their dream house, but I am so thankful that I have a wonderful home to live in. I think everyone should be feeling they do not have to hide who they really are when they are home. I don’t have to hide at home and I never will because of the home I live in and the people around me. I feel loved, safe and happy there. I think everyone deserves a wonderful home like mine. Thank you to everyone for giving me such a wonderful home. A big thank you too, to my mom and dad for making me feel safe at home.
