What Home Means to Me

A home to me isn't just a place to live and sleep, talk and play. It is a loving place to live with a peaceful family, with cat claws running up and down the hall. The house filled with memories, walls filled with crayons, markers, and sharpies and paint on the floor. A home is where the kitchen is filled with amazing smells drifting down the hall up into every room. My guinea pig squeaking, excited to play with my bunny. My bunny bouncing up and down, and my cats purring at the sound of the door squeaking. A home is where my sister is screaming at her phone at her boyfriend, and my brother is playing on the TV, yelling at pixels on the screen. Home to me isn’t just a place, it is love. That is what home means to me.
