What is a Home?

The first thing that comes to your mind when you are bored or sad is home. Do you know what a home is? When I think of home, I think of a place filled with laughter, love and support for all. Home is the place where everyone feels belonged. A place which is safe, and protected is what I call home. Having a roof over your head is a blessing gifted to you from God. When I moved to Canada, I wondered why were we going to live in an apartment? But, I realised it doesn’t matter how small your house is. What matters is how you make a house your home. A home is where families come together and where they pray for each other. I love how my mother cooks in the kitchen, the smell of the food makes me want to eat it. Our fridge is like a whole treasure chest full of candies. Our living room is like a play area where we all play, be silly and even share jokes. Our bedroom is where we sleep, dream and relax. I also love the awards I have got, they show my achievements on the walls. A home is built with empowerment and partnership. If these traits are not in a home, then it is a house. A home is an affordable place. A home is where families come together and they pray for each other. Home is a place where you first learned how to walk and talk. In conclusion, home is a place filled with laughter, love and support for all. A house is a building, while a home is where families come together. A home is a building filled with mysteries waiting to be explored. A home is an affordable place where anyone can live. Home is everything we need to succeed in life.
