A Home is Not Just a House

Home is not just a building. It's not just a place where you live, for me it’s a place that holds memories and stories. A place where you’re not scared or ashamed to cry and where you invite your friends and have birthday parties. It’s not just a house with furniture, even though that’s important too. It’s a place where you make memories and friends. That’s why it’s so hard to move houses because you have to leave your friends and stories behind. It might even feel like you’re leaving a part of yourself, and it takes a while for your new house to become a home. Once you make new friends, new memories and new stories that’s when a house becomes a home for me and it feels like you never moved. A home is not just a wall and a roof. It’s where you have your loving family welcoming you, even if it’s small or big. That is my meaning of home.
