What is the meaning of home to you?

Home could be considered in many different ways; the sense of safety, being supported, the comfort of love and joy, or the way my cat and dog are always there to greet me when I come back from school! But if I think of it, I imagine the meaning of home in one particular way; my home is a positive feeling, a happy place in my mind, full of all the amazing people, moments and places. Let’s take a tour! Our first stop, my school! My school, École du Nouveau-Monde is a great place! Sure, sometimes it may get a little hard academically, but I have two reasons why I love it. First, I met my best friends there. They are simply the best! Second, the teachers at my school are extremely supportive of everyone. They have a nice way of making ALL the students feel special. Although school may not be everyone's favourite place, it has earned a spot in my little mind-home. Our next stop, my house—or more importantly, my family! First of all, my house holds many special memories, and I’m extremely thankful to have it. Second, I have an amazing family who means more to me than the whole world. My family makes me feel safe, happy and loved, and more at home than imaginable. Last stop, my dance studio. I have met many great friends there! I feel that when I’m dancing, I can express myself, and I experience a joy that I do not have anywhere else. I feel very supported there. They also have AMAZING dance teachers! I’ve danced there for 4-5 years, and it is really like a home to me. Home may be different for everyone, but that is my home! Thank you.
