What is a home to me?

To me, a home is a cozy place to live where you can be yourself and feel belonged. A home is a place where you feel comfortable. A home is a sanctuary to you. Nobody deserves to miss out on this. Some people out there in the world live in cardboard boxes and beg for money. Those people don’t have a home to call their own. If a person has to struggle through life and bear various weather on the streets, . Deal with the cold that makes you shudder uncontrollably or withstand the scorching rays of the sun. Desperately they need shelter or it’s just torture. Many struggle to survive without shelter. It’s sad to think about the current state of the world knowing we have amazing luxuries that many don’t. Habitat for Humanity helps many people live like us by providing homes. Many receivers followed their passion after getting their homes. Many volunteered to help others in the community to make them hopeful. They can sleep, stay healthy and have much more accessibility. They can make memories, enjoy with family and lastly, a place to call their own. Our inputs can make a huge difference to other lives. We can help people be more independent and give others safety and stability. Families can take care of their children. Just a donation can make many things affordable to somebody. Volunteering time and effort to help others can go a long way. Habitat for Humanity can help people in need live equitably or empower others to help make life better for many people in a community. Their foundation helps others live a life and enjoy it like the rest of us. They deserve a better place to live in as well. They cannot fulfill basic daily needs. They deserve a home which is why we should always try helping them when we can.
