Home is a warm hug. Home cuddles me when I’m alone. Home makes me feel safe. Home supports me through the hard times and the long times. Home is the smell of my mom’s baking wafting through and out the windows. Home is a place to relax and remember. Home is a place where you take time to enjoy yourself. Home is the place where you meet with family and friends. Enjoying yourself and meeting with your family members you haven't seen for years. Home is the sound of my dogs eco bounding of the wall and greeting me with a warm welcome. Home is the place where I fall asleep and wake. Home is the sound of the rooster waking me up with a loud call. Home is the way the sun shines slowly through the windows and the warm light slowly creeping into the sliding door when my dad opens it. Home is the smell of my mom and dad making shrimp fried rice. Home feels like my mom kissing me goodbed and the sound of my brother's watch waking me up at 7:00 for him to catch the bus. Home is the sound of my sister screaming at my brother. Home is the sound of the rain pounding against the deck when it is raining buckets. Home is the smell of popcorn popping in the popcorn machine while we’re watching a movie. Home is the look of my dog when someone is walking past the house. Your house is a house, but your home is your neighbours, your friends, and your family.
