My Lovely Home

My favorite cozy little spot is my lovely bedroom. I always huddle under my comfortable, cozy little pillow and blanket. Home is a family to me; they play with me, support me, help me grow, and are there for all my happy or sad moments. Home and family are great, but not everyone has a home. Some homes may be destroyed, for example, by war or natural disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Or some families just can't afford a home, some might even be homeless, living on the streets, trying to get through life, but sadly, not in a happy way. The homeless could have come from wars, could be illegal immigrants, but have no choice. Others could have come from financial problems, with no money and not being able to afford housing or feed their families. Homes are lovely, but not for everyone. When I was young, I thought a home was just a shelter to live in. But I was wrong! Some kids might be living in horrible homes. Not only with no one loving, but also living under threats and danger. They could be living in a country where resources are rare, almost impossible to get. They could be losing their loved ones, or being abused by their loved ones, often because of different perspectives. If you are living a happy life, don’t forget that there are people out there who are struggling to survive, even with loved ones beside you. So everyone, I encourage you to be grateful for what you have, shelter, food, even ones who don't have much. Remember, there are always people who are living in worse conditions than you. A home is important, and it’s not always a place. It can also be a feeling that is only felt with loved ones around you.
